CPSC announces recall of Tony Hawk skate-style helmets.
CPSC announced on July 14, 2022 that Sakar International's Tony Hawk Silver Metallic skate-style model has been recalled
for retention system failure. About 12,655 units were sold exclusively at Walmart. Some were sent to owners of the Sakar
International Dimensions Bluetooth Speaker helmets that were
recalled in March 2022.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled helmets and contact Sakar for instructions on receiving a refund in
the form of a $40 Walmart gift card. Consumers should not return the helmet to Walmart and should contact Sakar for the
gift card and to facilitate returns using prepaid postage packaging. Walmart will contact all known purchasers.
